HO ho ho Merry Christmas! Well, it's that time of year when you all go out to your Christmas do's and you pray that your local game is off because you can't raise a side, or even your head off the pillow.

We didn't have a game over the weekend and for a very good reason, the groundsman couldn't be found so my weekend ended with a shopping trip and home in time to see Liverpool slump against the mighty goal machine of Sunderland-o as they are commonly known.

WE haven't played much at all over the last few weeks. We gained a creditable loss against Paak United -- the scoreline of 2-1 was very flattering as they have thrashed sides over the past few weeks, so even though we trudged off at the end of the game to another defeat, the lads were happy to have put up such a good performance.

The week before that we were successful enough in a bottom of the table encounter against Forest. We dominated and at half-time we were two goals up and cruising, but we took the foot off the pedal in the second half and it wasn't until with five minutes to go we put the game to bed with an outstanding strike from me -- yes I've broken my duck for the season, the lads in the dressing room were not impressed, that's because they are jealous.

Probably because an old chap still has so much time on the ball and an eye for goal. (Sorry lads but it's all true)!

So to end I'll leave with a few arguable year end footnotes.

Sportsperson of the Year: It had to be Paula Radcliffe -- outstanding.

Big Head of the Year: It had to be Roy Keane -- is he bigger than football itself?

Manager of the Year -- Sven -- because if he play away Ulrika, good on him.

Let Down of the Year: ITV Digital -- Anyone want a set top box?

Miss of the Year: David Johnson -- if only Burnley could have bought him.

Highlight of the Year: Manchester Utd -- trophy-less say no more.

Just one last question, Heskey and Grabbi were in a duel with pistols drawn at dawn, would would shoot the other first. A difficult decision!

Bye and a Merry Christmas to You All.
