REGARDING my criticism of the Dean of Blackburn for not seeking other local opinions before offering his praise and support for the Blackburn council executive (Letters, December 3), as a result, I received an invitation to meet him and the Rev Anthony Baddel at the Cathedral on December 7, which I did.
I gave the Dean a copy of our complaint documents, entitled 'The Crushing of a Community Association,' which he promised to read.
We had a frank and meaningful discussion, during which it became obvious that serious concerns exist right across all sections of the community, regarding the council executive's treatment of the people of Blackburn and Darwen, in particular those who would disagree with them.
EDDIE DUXBURY, (vice-chairman of the former Bank Top Community Association), Arthur Way, Blackburn.
