GREEN-FINGERED residents in Trawden will be able to battle it out for the best kept garden next year during the village's Garden Festival.
The festival committee, which has appointed well-known resident Maisie Lachman as president, will sell plant seeds donated by seed companies during their fortnightly coffee mornings, between April and July.
But sponsors for the summer competition classes are being sought along with donations from local businesses.
Entry forms for each of the competition classes will be delivered to all houses in the village at the beginning of next year.
Garden quiz forms are also on sale at Trawden Library, Granville's Newsagents, from committee members or at the post office and should be returned by January 24.
