JOHN McCaul won the ninth winter merit at Pennington Park on Sunday by beating John Cooke in the final 21-15.
Alan Lambert beat John Prestwich in the consolation final 21-16. Colin Knight has now lost his record of scoring merit points in all of his Sunday games despite playing well in the qualifiers.
Sylvia Jeffries scored her first merit points.
