TROUBLED Lancashire tour giant MyTravel has sold Leger Holidays to its management team in a £22million deal.
Leger provides coach tours from the UK to mainland Europe and in the past year made a pre-tax profit of almost £4million.
MyTravel has also abandoned plans to rebrand its Going Places and Travelworld agencies in a bid to save money. The group has renamed 146 of its high street sites which will now revert back to the Going Places brand.
Rebranding of its entire estate of over 700 shops would have cost up to £6 million.
A spokeswoman for MyTravel said it was "inappropriate" to spend that amount of mone,y given the company's financial difficulties.
