DARWEN Ladies Football Club are looking for budding soccer stars to join their under-12 ranks.
The club boasts 70 members for the under-12, under-14, under-16 and girls' teams.
But manager Nigel Ramsden wants more girls to come forward.
He said: "The problem is that they are moving up age groups so we need more girls to replenish the numbers.
"We have children aged eight and nine and there's a great culture within the club where the older players help train the younger ones, and they've built up a great rapport.
"We are looking to recruit girls under 12 now and train them up for next season. Children as young as eight or nine are welcome."
Matches take place at the Anchor Football Ground on Sundays and training takes place at various times for up to two hours.
