CHILDREN from Newfield Special School, Blackburn will be treated to the delights of theatre thanks to a national charity.
Happy Days Children's Charity uses government grants to provide holidays and day trips for children with special needs and is taking the youngsters to see The Firebird at the Octagon Theatre, Bolton on January 15.
Carly Enstone, bookings co-ordinator for Happy Days, said: "It gives the children a chance of going to the theatre, getting an ice cream, getting to see a play or a pantomime and gives them a chance to appreciate it.
"We provide schools with the tickets, transport, souvenirs and ice cream they need to make the trip possible."
