REGARDING Trevor Hanson's comments (Sport Letters, Novemer 26) that Burnley fans should face the facts, I would like him to reproduce these facts regarding Burnley's games against Glasgow Celtic.
1. September 12, 1978, at Turf Moor - Burnley 1 (Kindon), Celtic 0.
2. September 27, 1978, at Parkhead - Celtic 1, Burnley 2 (Brennan, Kindon).
A 3-1 aggregate win for Burnley in the Anglo-Scottish Cup.
Another fact - before any sneering at the competition - was that the Rovers always went out in the preliminary rounds.
