MEMBERS of St Peter's Church, Darwen, have pioneered a unique approach to remembering lost loved ones this Christmas- with 133 poinsettias.
Mildred Riley said: "The congregation were all asked to donate a poinsettia in memory of loved ones they've lost. They cost £3 each and altogether we've raised £400 so it's been very successful."
On Sunday, the flowers will be spread across the church for the 6pm carol service.
Mildred went on: "It has captured the imagination of lots of people and we've had a lot of help with people donating window boxes to put them in".
