POLICE are continuing to hunt for three robbers who carried out a ram raid at a sub-post office in the village of Trawden.

Detectives arrested one man on Monday in connection with the raid, but he was later charged with offences not related to the robbery.

The man was quizzed and charged with aggravated vehicle taking.

Police investigating the ram raid said that at 3.15am on Monday a car was reversed into the window of the Rock Post Office in Church Street.

The thieves then tied a rope to an ATM machine and pulled the cashpoint out of the shop using a car, before driving off.

Anyone with information should call Pennine Police on 01282 425001.
