SHAKERS 1, HULL CITY 0: Ian Lawson's 72nd minute goal has put Shakers up to the heady position of third in the Division Three table after he clinched victory over Hull City at Gigg Lane.

Lawson rose to the occasion in the 71st minute when he connected with a Chris Billy free-kick to turn Bury's possession into a goal.
Shakers continued to press and could easily have registered more goals after Lawson had scored, particularly through young David Nugent who had an inspired game.
