A SINGLE car private hire firm could soon be running from an address in Salterforth Road, Earby, if councillors give plans the thumbs-up next week.
The proposed site is a mid-terraced property with parking space for one car in the back garden area with access from an unadopted road.
The business would initially be telephone-based.
No customers would visit or wait at the property and the operating hours would be from 8am to midnight every day. The applicant has been advised by planning officers that if she wanted to install an antenna it would probably require planning permission.
Members of the West Craven Committee have been recommended to grant planning permission subject to conditions stating that only one taxi would be used, the property would not be used as a taxi stand and the operating hours would be between 8am and midnight.
