A MAN taken to hospital with severe burns following an alleged attack by his wife has been taken off the critical list.
Steven Jones, of King Street, Haslingden, was left fighting for his life after an incident on Saturday.
Mr Jones was taken to Burnley General Hospital and later transferred to Whiston Hospital, Prescott, Merseyside where a spokesman today said he was in a comfortable condition.
Susan Mary Jones, 44, of King Street, appeared before Burnley Magistrates Court charged with attempted murder. She was granted conditional bail and told to appear at Preston Crown Court on Wednesday, January 22 for a preliminary hearing.
