EXPECT plenty of angry faces at Burnley Library - but don't blame the librarians!

People with an opinion are to get the chance to vent their thoughts on national TV, via an internet link to the library.

Lancashire County Council has teamed up with the BBC to fit high-tech web cams at the building.

The camera will provide a link to the new BBC Morning Show, a pilot series due to air next month.

It is a new show that will give members of the public the chance to air their opinions on a range of hot topics.

The presenters will tell viewers the next day's subjects for discussion. It is then up to the public to visit internet links and record their opinions.

The links are set up across the country but the only other one in Lancashire is based at Lancaster library.

The Morning Show is being described as a 'vibrant mix of current affairs and lifestyle issues' and will be aimed at the daytime audience.

Former Pop Idol judge Nikki Chapman and entertainment correspondent Robert Nisbet will host what the BBC hope will bring an exciting interactive edge to their schedules.

Robert said: "We want to hear your views and see you contributing to The Morning Show, and this is a perfect way to do it. So make sure you're heard on the biggest interactive vote on TV!"

Lancashire's Cabinet Member for Libraries, County Councillor Marcus Johnstone, said: "This looks like the start of something exciting and I'm sure it will capture the public's imagination. Our libraries have been leading the way with providing new technology to the public so it's fitting we should be involved in his pioneering show.

"I expect the show to be lively and I'm sure the producers of the Morning Show will not be disappointed by Lancashire people's contributions."

The partnership has been made possible thanks to the County Council's successful People's Network scheme.

The County Council received £1.9m from the government's New Opportunities Fund with an extra £190,000 being invested by the County Council to provide internet facilities at libraries.

The Morning Show will be on air between 10-11am, Monday to Friday, until February 28.
