FIREFIGHTERS have appealed to residents in Revidge, Blackburn, to help them stop a gang of youths they believe have started several fires.

Officers say the same group of youngsters could be responsible for two garage fires, a trailer fire and a rubbish fire in the last week. In the latest incident a trailer was set on fire on Woodbine Road, Blackburn. A crew was called to put out the fire at 2pm.

Station officer Andy Barnes said: "Some of the residents spot these youths knocking about. It does seem to be the same group causing these fires, and financially it's costing people and it's using up our resources. It's hard work trying to catch them."

Anyone with any information is asked to call Blackburn Fire Station on 01254 52111.
