LANCASTER City Council is supporting Morecambe Football Club's FA cup trip to Ipswich on Saturday with a special banner.
In a bid to take full advantage of the high profile tie at Portman Road, the banner will feature the Eric More-cambe statue, which they hope may entice visitors to the town.
"There is bound to be TV coverage of the game and so this is a chance to promote our team and also the area which they come from," says Council leader Cllr Tricia Heath.
