A LEIGH manufacturing firm has got a grant of £45,000.
North West Manufacturing Technologies Ltd, based at Leigh Business Park, has received a £45,000 Smart grant to help develop a bright idea into a reality.
The money is for a feasibility study into producing a vibrator attachment for a commercially available, low-cost industrial robot arm, which would be incorporated into a standard manufacturing cell for casting concrete blocks.
The funding has been provided by the Small Business Service's Smart programme, which provides grants to help individuals, small and medium-sized companies to commercially exploit innovative ideas.
