NEW classes to help people kick smoking start next week to give them a flying start in time for National No Smoking Day, on March 12.
The area's smoking cessation staff are starting new six-week sessions from March 4 at centres in Blackburn, Accrington and Darwen.
Nurse Jan Holding said: "They offer the perfect opportunity for people who are looking to quit on March 12 to get a flying start by getting advice and support."
Sessions will be held at the following venues: March 4, Darwen Leisure Centre from 10am to 11am; Audley Community Centre from 6pm to 7pm. March 5, New Era Centre in Accrington from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. March 6, Darwen Health Centre from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. No booking is necessary and all sessions are free.
The smoking cessation team will also be in Blackburn Shopping Centre on No Smoking Day offering advice to shoppers.
