A BIKER from Walton-le-Dale is preparing to race on four wheels rather than two.
Robyn Anderson, 30, has been a keen motorcyclist for several years and now she is revving up for a new challenge -- the new Formula Woman for female drivers interested in motor racing.
Robyn said: "I jumped at the chance to enter this competition. I love driving and this gives women the chance to prove they are good drivers. Men always claim they are better than women, but they forget most women learn to drive from men!"
Robyn regularly takes her bike to a track in Cheshire, where she trains. "It's great because there are lots of bends and corners and it improves your driving ability," Robyn said.
The event is open to women aged 18-plus who hold a current UK driving licence and have not competed in motorsport before. For details, call 09066 360000.
Callers will receive a personal pin number which must be used to obtain an application form from the internet at www.formulawoman.com
