A NEW photography competition has been launched for disabled amateur photographers -- Freedom in Focus 2003.

The themes of the competition are Nature and Modern Life, and two age categories, 18 and 18+, are available, with cash and camera prizes.

THE next films being shown by the Preston Film Society are Mexican movie Y Tu Mama Tambien (And Your Mother Too) and US film The Royal Tenenbaums, on March 16, at the Holiday Inn, Ringway, from 6pm.

Membership to the society is £1 on the door, and admission to each film is £3.

THE winner of the BBC New Comedy Award is performing at the Stand & Deliver Comedy Club, University of Central Lancashire, Fylde Road, on Friday, February 21.Nina Conti will be joined by Lenny Jackson and Justin Moorhouse. Tickets are £4 to £7 from the Student's Union on 513200.
