RESIDENTS in Ribble Valley will be able to have their say at a series of public forums aimed at strengthening the community.

The Ribble Valley Strategic Partnership has organised the forums to look at issues such as race and faith, the young and elderly and rural isolation.

Organiser Anne Borland said: "The Ribble Valley is a great place to live and work and we want to improve it by discussing the issues people find important.

"A series of discussions has been organised, which will be informal and open to all. People are invited to contribute, as we want their voices to be heard."

A forum with the theme Young People will take place at 7pm tomorrow at the St Michael and St John Social Centre in Lowergate, Clitheroe. It will be workshop-based and aimed at young people, those who work with young people and anyone who feels it might be relevant to them.

A forum on disability and mental health will take place at West Bradford Village Hall at 7pm on Wednesday, March 5.
