IAN Moore put his early season frustrations well behind him last night with a superb display against Fulham last night to help send the Clarets into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

The 26-year-old revelled on the big stage and confessed: "I love the place and I love the fans. I would really love to stay here."

The striker once again shone in his new role on the right side of a five man midfield, capping a fine all-round display with his tenth goal of the season but he admitted: "It has been frustrating and at times this season I have wondered if it is worth it.

"I wondered whether I should ask for a move but as a player you have just got to get on with it.

"At the moment things are going well for me out on the right, I think I am playing quite well out there. I am getting a few goals and long may it continue."

The fact Moore was a frustrated spectator from the bench when Burnley took on Spurs and Manchester United in the televised Worthington Cup games meant he was more delighted than most to get a starring role against Fulham.

He gave £3.5million full back Jon Harley a torrid time and admitted: "I like to make driving runs at people, I like to get at anybody and it does not matter to me if they are Premiership players.

"It makes no difference because I think I can get a yard on players."

Twice before Gareth Taylor's opening goal Moore was involved in controversial incidents as he bore down on goal.

But he admitted he had got it wrong when he went to ground in the box in the opening minutes to earn a booking as he said: "It was silly really, I did take a dive."

Minutes later he was more unfortunate as, having got beyond the defence, he was clearly hauled back by Harley who went unpunished.

"I was pulled back and as a result I lost my footing which meant the chance was gone," he said. "He's pulled my arm."

Finally he did get his goal and he was quick to praise the part played by Dean West who chipped a delightful ball over the top that he coolly netted.

"It was a great ball from Westy," he said. "He chipped it up and it span right into my path and I lobbed over the keeper. I am now in double figures for the season."

Moore is the third Burnley striker to make it to double figures and he is hoping that it will not be long before he passes last season's total of 14, which included an FA Cup hat-trick against Canvey Island.

He was back in training with the rest of his team mates this morning and he knows it has to be business as usual as they return to league action on Saturday.

"We have to go to Stoke and we have to play like we did against Fulham," he said. "We have done well but we will be in training and I am sure the manager will bring us back to earth with a big bang.

"In recent games we have got back on a winning track in the league but it will be tough because they are fighting for survival, fighting for points."
