TYLDESLEY RU junior sides found it hard going in their games against Broughton Park.
The U8s were beaten 40-10 with tries from Ben Ormrod and Joseph Redmond. Skipper Connor Wilcockson was in good form.
A depleted U9s struggled to make any impact in their game and went down 55-20. Adam Prendergast and Nathan Rushton were joint man of the match winners.
The U10s played some excellent rugby at times in their 40-20 defeat, the whole team deserving credit for sticking to the task.
A good second half performance from the U12s saw them only go down 28-12 with tries from Stefan Harper and Stephen Meadows. The joint man of the match award went to Jordan Hurst and Peter Thompson.
