ASTLEY Youth Band has scored a trio of contest successes.
In the Haydock Slow Melody Contest 13-years-old cornet player Michael Clegg took the 13 and under competition, Simon Minshall, 11, the section for best trombonist in the same age group and nine-years-old cornet player Jack Berry finished fourth in the under nines.
