A MOTHER who was forced out of her home by thieves and left her possessions in the care of Wigan Council returned to find they had disappeared.

Mother-of-two Lisa Parsons moved out of her home at Sussex Place in Tyldesley, in June last year after thieves ransacked her home.

The 22-year-old moved in with her sister in Farnworth but returned to the Shakerley estate to collect her possessions in August -- only to be told by council chiefs that her furniture had vanished.

Lisa, who now lives at Coronation Avenue on Atherton's Hag Fold estate with her two daughters Jade, aged five, and Halle, aged 18-months-old, said: "I have lost everything -- from furniture to brand new books for my children. When the council told me that they could not find my furniture I just broke down. Now I'm taking anti-depressant drugs and am seeing a councillor because of everything that's happened.

"Some of the stuff that's been lost is irreplaceable, like a book which had a collection of the first photos of my daughters -- they are priceless to me. I'm living in a furnished house at the moment because everything that I did own has disappeared."

Wigan Council could not comment while legal proceedings are pending.
