ARMED robbers held up a bank in Leyland, firing shots and escaping with cash.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the robbery to come forward after the raid on the Lloyds TSB bank, Chapel Brow.
Two men walked into the bank carrying firearms at around 12.30pm on Tuesday afternoon. Both guns were fired, but nobody was hurt.
Police believe that one of the weapons was not a real firearm.
Officers were on the scene this afternoon taking statements.
