A SCENES of crime officer has today appeared in court to deny seven charges of child abduction.
Peter Sharples, aged 55, of Glenview Court, Preston, pleaded not guilty at Preston Crown Court to seven counts of abducting a girl under sixteen years.
The defendant, a scenes of crime officer with Lancashire Police, was bailed to a trial date with conditions including one not to enter Sabden.
Judge Stuart Baker adjourned the case to June 16 for trial.
