PRESTON withstood the pressure to beat Kendal 3-2 in a bowl out in the first round of the Thwaites Smooth Beer Cup at the weekend. Leyland Motors were also successful in the bowl out beating Darwen 3-2 while Leyland were beaten 1-0 at St Annes.
The Bank Holiday weekend league fixtures are as follows: Saturday- Kendal v Preston; Leyland v Chorley; Blackpol v Leyland Motors. Monday- St Annes v Preston ; Leyland v Leyland Motors.
