A MOTHER and her baby were showered with glass when the father threw a brick through a bedroom window.

Blackburn magistrates heard Carl Aaron Cumberland had smashed a downstairs window when he was refused entry to the house where his partner had gone following a row.

Cumberland, 21, of Cleveleys Road, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to two charges of criminal damage.

He was sentenced to one month in prison after the court heard he was already in custody awaiting sentence at the Crown Court for an offence of burglary.

Stephen Parker, defending, said that Cumberland realised he had been foolish to go to the house and try and patch things up when he had been drinking.
