REGARDING your report on ritual slaughter (LET, May 17), there should be a total ban on these methods. All animals should be treated with respect and should not suffer in death.
If a human was found with his or her throat cut, it would be classed as barbaric. Why should innocent animals suffer this fate?
If people were to go round these slaughterhouses and see this for themselves, something would be done to ban it.
