DOESN'T time fly when you're having fun?

It does for comedian Billy Pearce, whose forthcoming Laughter Show at the Blackpool Grand falls on the anniversary of his first Laughter Show there -- ten years ago!

His 'tailor made' repertoire of silly jokes, songs and general daftness is renowned for leaving his audiences chortling.

Which is just as well, because summer season audiences might be less than tickled pink by his 'one night stands' (as he calls them) at clubs all over the country.

"I haven't done a summer season since the year before last so I'm gigging around doing the adult show," he explains.

But that doesn't mean his Laughter Show will be 'blue in any way, shape or form'.

"I shall certainly be behaving myself, he says solemnly, before admitting: "There might be a bit of innuendo. It will be fast, furious and funny."

Billy -- a Peter Kay fan -- might be top of the bill, but it's not gone to his head. He's got the sort of showbiz sang-froid that keeps his feet firmly on the ground.

"I'm happy wherever I am on the bill. It's nice to be top of the bill, but then there's pressure," he says.

Pressure never to change your act from what's expected, pressure to stay at the top.

But for Billy it's all about teamwork -- "I've got a good team around me" -- and together with old pals and comedy stalwarts The Grumbleweeds, singer Penny Taylor and magician Phil Hitchcock there are bound to be lots of unscripted interruptions and mirthful mayhem for the audience to enjoy in this Grand show.

The Billy Pearce Laughter Show runs at Blackpool's Grand Theatre from July 10 to November 1 (except Sundays). For tickets at £12.50 adults, £10.50 seniors, £5 children phone the box office on 290190.
