REGARDING the proposed windfarm at Scout Moor (LET, June 3), I live very close to Edenfield and am a lifelong Valley resident.
I am sick to death of this NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard) attitude most people seem to adopt these days. We need a renewable source of energy to be in place soon.
Coal and oil reserves will not last for ever and the nuclear option has been fiercely opposed whenever the topic has been broached.
The wind farm is a good idea and should be given the go-ahead as soon as possible. The sooner people realise we need renewable sources of energy the better!
