REGARDING your report headlined "Muslims may lose right to slaughter" (LET, May 17), if the government-funded Farm Animal Welfare Council has finally concluded that Muslim and Jewish methods of slaughter are in fact inhumane, then there, quite rightly, should be an immediate and outright ban on all such methods of slaughter.
Why have they taken four long years to conduct their research? I could have told you that it was cruel and inhumane in a matter of seconds.
The only way forward is the implementation of a nationwide ban on all 'ritual slaughter.'
To my knowledge, there is only one political party that would quite definitely enforce this ban and that is the British National party.
