A ROSSENDALE couple are £125 better off following the first council tax direct debit prize draw.
Bruce and Lorraine Ough, who live in Whitworth, were chosen at random from the 14,608 people who pay their council tax by direct debit and won one month's free council tax. Bruce and Lorraine were presented with their cheque by Phil Seddon, Rossendale Council's head of finance, and Paul Bayes, revenues manager at the Town Hall.
