REGARDING the conflict of interests between the Fashionable Winos band and concerned readers, in my household, we are split down the middle as to who is right or wrong.
My husband used to play drums for a band when he was younger and his band had the rather inappropriate name of 'Northern Trash.' Whereas he stalwartly argues the band have the right to be called whatever they want, I offer an alternative.
If the Fashionable Winos were to change their name, think of all the people they would appease. I think this would be the perfect solution for all, as it would give the band a chance to practise without people being offended by the name.
It would also prove that the name means nothing and that music should come first -- which is the argument they are putting forward anyway if I am not mistaken.
