I AGREE with Pendle MP Gordon Prentice on regional government which will have no power over education or transport.
Bye, bye Pendle and here comes Greater Blackburn. The town centre of Nelson will be decimated with no council staff to shop there. The effect on Colne will be similar.
It will mean the end of the name, Pendle and, of course, all the main things for the North West will be decided by Liverpool and Manchester.
