ATHERTON CC and the Bolton Association lost a good friend at the weeeknd with the death if Peter Jeune after a brief illness.
Peter was Atherton's scorer for many years and a tireless worker for both the club and the league.
Association chairman and Atherton secretary, John Charlson, said: "Peter was a perfectionist and will be sadly missed by all who knew him."
Atherton were shot out for just 53 at Clifton with only Phil West reaching double figures. Dave Hamilton took six wickets and hit 33 as Clifton eased home by six wickets with more than 50 overs to spare.
