MY big idea would be to build a huge marina in Burnley to attract visitors as well as the people who live here.
It would have floating restaurant, tea rooms, art gallery, all around the marina there would be sensory gardens and areas for smell and touch.
It would be cared for by people with special needs and would be disabled-friendly with boats for hire for the day. It would be the most up-to-date, beautiful marina in the country offering everything for people with disabilities and special needs.
It would be attractive to hundreds of people wanting to travel to Burnley to live, visit and experience canal life at its best.
Such a project would create jobs for sales people, hire boat managers, assistants, drivers, engineers, cleaners, gardeners, cooks and office staff. It's a big idea and needs big money, but what an idea.
