OSWALDTWISTLE Players are celebrating after hearing they have received six nominations for the North West regional awards.
The prestigious award ceremony in September is held every year to celebrate the best in amateur dramatics that the region has to offer.
All of the nominations players have received this year have been for A Christmas Carol which was presented at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre last October.
The nominations are for best costume design, best stage design, Lesley Jackson and Wendy Duggan for best cameo, John Kirby for best actor in a play, Paul Terry for best supporting actor in a play and Michael Flanagan for best artistic direction of a play.
A Christmas Carol was adapted from the Charles Dickens novel specifically for the Oswaldtwistle Players by Michael Flanagan, who also directed the production.
The players are currently in rehearsal for their next production, Theft by Eric Chappell, directed by Bill Walker.
