TWO plaques donated by mayors in Russia and China will have pride of place at Rossendale Town Hall.
Worsley ward councillor Geoffrey Atkinson brought them back after twinning visits to Engles, in Russia, and Yungang, in China, as gifts for the Mayor of Rossendale, Coun Eileen Kershaw.
Eileen said: "The words inscribed on the plaques are written in Chinese and Russian and are very attractive. They have been given pride of place in the mayors parlour where they are being proudly displayed."
