A YOUNG mum who went shoplifting had had to pay off a drugs debt, Burnley Magisrates heard.
The court was told how Lee Anne Haworth, 24, who in the past had had heroin and cocaine addictions, had at one time been in debt to the tune of £3,000. She now owed £250.
Haworth, mother of a five-year-old daughter, of Elgin Crescent, Burnley, admitted stealing clothes worth £24 from Asda.
The bench, who told her she hadn't quite learned her lesson, gave her an 18 months conditional discharge and told her to pay £65 costs.
