VALE of Lune play their opening league game of the season against Morley at Powder House Lane on Saturday - turning back the clock a full 10 years.
It is the club's first match in North league One since Vale were relegated way back at the end of the 1993/94 season.
Historically, Morley, who finished fifth in the division last year, have proved to be tough, uncompromising opponents. It is certain they will provide a stern test of the ambitions of Vale, last seasons North West Two champions.
Vale's pre-season training programme has gone well, with the only doubt for Saturday surrounding skipper Ian Bird's fitness as he battles to overcome a nagging knee injury.
