A PROSTITUTE taken to the home of a client decided to help herself to a "bonus" after being left alone in a downstairs room, a court was told.
Blackburn magistrates heard Gemma Ward took a gold ring and a gold necklace belonging to Joseph McGuinn after he left the room to go to the toilet.
The court was told Mr McGuinn gave Ward a chance to return the items by leaving the room again and said if they were put back the matter would be forgotten.
But when he returned shortly after she had scaled a back yard wall and had taken his mobile phone too.
Ward, 22, of Lambeth Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to theft in a house in Grimshaw Street, Darwen. She was made subject to a community rehabilitation order for 12 months and must pay £200 compensation.
