A HEROIN addicted mother-of-two who terrorised a charity shop manager has been jailed for 10 months.

Burnley Crown Court heard how Lisa Marie Hartley, 24, blamed victim Julie Harrison for losing her children, after she was jailed for twice attacking her in three days.

After her release from custody, Hartley repeatedly turned up at the Help the Aged shop in the Victory Centre, Nelson, made threatening gestures and told Mrs Harrison she was lucky she was not dead.

Sentencing, Judge Raymond Bennett also made a restraining order to keep the defendant away from Mrs Harrison.

Hartley, of Holly Street, Nelson, admitted harassment between last October and December, theft and two allegations of failing to surrender to bail.

Roger Green, prosecuting, said Hartley turned up at the shop after she came out of prison and told Mrs Harrison: "Its not over yet."

She went to the shop 12 times in all, staring at the victim and making threatening gestures.

Roger Baldwin, defending, said Hartley's situation was very sad. She lived on her own in rented accommodation and was addicted to heroin.

The defendant, who had not been in receipt of benefits but had been taking drugs, wanted to get help for to do something about her habit.

The barrister said the defendant's Her children had been taken into care when she was jailed for assaulting Mrs Harrison, whom she blamed the victim for her children being taken from her.
