CHORLEY Lynx round off their league games in National League Division Two with a trip to the New River Stadium to take on bottom of the table London Skolars.

Last weekend Lynx lost top spot after going down to a narrow 36-32 defeat at York and they now lie second on points difference to Sheffield Eagles.

Coach Darren Abram was far from happy with the tactics of the York outfit as he saw Martin Roden, Simon Smith and Mike Briggs all suffer broken noses in the first half but acknowledged that the long winning run would have to end at some point - better now than in the play-offs.

The team will travel down to London on Saturday but Abram will not name his team until after he knows the result of the Sheffield v Workington game on Saturday night and how many points Lynx would have to win by to secure top spot.

If both are victorious they will face each other in the play offs but if Sheffield remain in top spot Lynx would have to travel to the Don Valley Stadium in two weeks time with the winners going straight to the grand final.

Skolars have had a rough introduction into professional rugby league and only won their first game two weeks ago when they defeated fellow strugglers Gateshead Thunder.

Last weekend they travelled to Workington confident of recording their first away victory but instead their weakened side found themselves on a 16 try hiding as they went down 80-18.

They are sure to want to make life difficult for Lynx and are expecting most of their missing players to be available but it would be a major surprise if Lynx failed to gain victory and seal their position in the top two places.

Lynx will select from: McCully, Campbell, Garcia, Stenhouse, Andrews, Coates, Dean, Street, Briggs, Roden, Redford, Newall, Hodson, Smith, Blackwood, Rowley, Braddish, Kilgannon, Ingram, O'Regan.
