A SEVEN-day motorbike endurance ride across a land of contrasting landscapes awaits a Great Harwood man.
Graham Waywell, pictured left, will ride from dawn to dusk every day on a Royal Enfield 350cc motorcycle across 2,000km of southern Indian terrain.
He will join around 100 others as they ride to raise money for the World Wildlife Fund to stamp out tiger poaching and £20,000 for the Rainbow Trust which helps terminally-ill children in the UK.
Graham, managing director of Romers Hi-Fi in Great Harwood, is a motorbike enthusiast and a keen mechanic and has renovated many bikes to pristine condition.
He aims to raise £3,000 and got involved when a friend, and enthusiast contacted him about the ride.
He said: "It's going to be a tough journey.
"I've spoken to people who did the ride earlier this year and they've all told me how hard it is.
"I'm looking forward to the challenge and now my main focus is on getting the sponsorship money."
Romers has already sponsored Graham with £500. Donations can be sent, c/o Romers, Lomax Street, Great Harwood. Cheques should be made out to Enduro India.
