A RED-FACED professional couple have been cleared of any involvement in child porn after a picture of a naked boy was found in their car.
A photograph of a boy lying on a bed holding a teddy bear was found when a car was taken into an Accrington garage. The parents, from the Ribble Valley, left the car, forgetting that innocent photographs were inside.
The garage manager contacted the police after one of its mechanics found the picture.
But the embarrassed couple were cleared of any illicit involvement with children after a police investigation revealed the pictures were innocent.
The family's two children are thought to have been playing with a camera and taking shots of each other. When the parents had the holiday snaps developed, they removed the naked photos and left them in their Mondeo car.
A mechanic, who declined to be named, said: "I was really shocked when I found the picture."
A police spokesman said said: "The police have investigated the matter of some photographs brought to our attention.
"All parties have co-operated fully in the investigation and we are confident that no criminal activity has occurred.
"The matter is now closed."
