I WAS amazed to see on regional TV news, people pleading for the Mind Centre in Blackburn to stay open so that they have a place where they can go and socialise.
The centre does a good job, providing activities for users and getting them out on trips, but have been told that the building will close.
This is supposed to be the European Year of the Disabled. I thought we would be doing something for the disabled, not taking things away.
