PENSIONERS from a Great Harwood residential home were all smiles when they got to ride on a new minibus.
For the elderly residents of Lyndon House were given the first ride on Age Concern Hyndburn's latest addition -- a modern minibus to ferry pensioners between day care centres.
The minibus was bought by the charity, which is based in Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors, to replace an older model which it had been using to transport elderly folks around the area.
Age Concern Hyndburn's admin manager Fran Breckell said unlike its predecessor the new minibus has more seats, a ramp to get wheelchairs in and out as well as safety bars for the passengers.
