CHORLEY Golf Club are hoping to add more silverware to their trophy cabinet when they take part in the regional finals of the Sunday Telegraph's Junior Team Golf Home Nations Championship.

The club's recent success in the Bolton & District Junior League has allowed them to progress to the regional finals. This next stage promises to be much tougher when they play the North West finals on October 6 at Mere Golf & Country Club in Cheshire, one of the country's most picturesque courses.

The Championship course promises to test all players, especially the infamous back four, which would cause problems for profesionals. Hopefully, the spectacular scenery should not distract the Chorley golfers too much as they tackle the par 71 course.

The North Western Champions and runners-up will progress in the competition to the English finals, which will be played at Brocket Hall on October 20.
